The Nigerian Association of Delmarva (NAD) is excited to announce two major upcoming events that will bring families, friends, and community members together in celebration, fellowship, and cultural pride. On July 11, 2026, NAD will host its Annual Family Picnic, a fun-filled gathering designed for all ages. Members and guests can look forward to delicious food, music, games, cultural entertainment, networking, and activities for children and adults. The picnic will provide a wonderful opportunity for members of the Nigerian community across Delmarva to relax, reconnect, and strengthen friendships in a joyful summer atmosphere. NAD is also proudly preparing for its Nigerian Independence Day Celebration on October 3, 2026. This special event will honor Nigeria’s rich heritage, culture, and unity through traditional attire, cultural performances, dance, music, and authentic Nigerian cuisine. The celebration will highlight the strength and diversity of the Nigerian community while promoting unity, cultural preservation, and community engagement. NAD warmly encourages all members, families, friends, and supporters to mark these important dates on their calendars ahead of time and begin making plans to attend. These events promise to be memorable occasions filled with unity, joy, networking, and cultural pride as we continue building a stronger and more connected Nigerian community across Delmarva.
The Nigerian Association of Delmarva (NAD) is committed to making a positive impact through charity projects, community support, donations, and volunteer service. NAD members regularly come together to support families in need, celebrate cultural unity, and contribute to meaningful causes within the Delmarva community and beyond. Through fundraising efforts, outreach programs, and charitable donations to organizations such as Halo and Joseph House, the association promotes compassion, hope, and social responsibility. Volunteers play an important role in organizing cultural events, supporting youth and families, assisting during community emergencies, and strengthening relationships among members. NAD believes that service to humanity is a shared responsibility, and the organization continues to encourage active participation, generosity, and community engagement as part of its mission to build a stronger, united, and supportive Nigerian community across Delmarva.
